Victorian Trauma Grand Round

Venue: Alfred Medical Research & Education Precinct, 75 Commercial Road, Melbourne

The Victorian Trauma Grand Round is a collaborative initiative to provide a forum for all professionals involved in acute trauma care in Victoria to explore and debate all aspects of trauma care. 

The program will promote collaborative efforts and networking among members of the trauma care community and showcase the expertise and available resources in trauma care in Victoria.

Each quarter a grand round event will be hosted by a major Victorian trauma care provider. These events are open to all healthcare professionals.

The first event will be hosted at The Alfred and will focus on 16 years of improvement in trauma care.

18:00    Drinks and canapés

18:30    Welcome by Professor Mark Fitzgerald: 16 years of improvement in Trauma care; is it limitless?

18:40    Then & now: Integrated Trauma Management, a case reviewed

19:30    Panel discussion: Where will the biggest improvements in trauma care in the next 16 years be seen:  

- Pre-hospital care? 

- Hospital systems improvements? 

- Rehabilitation?

20:00    What can we take away to make the next 16 years of improvements happen?
